Casey Vickstrom graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University in 2014 with a B.A. in Biological Sciences with Honors. He is currently enrolled in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD) at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he is a third-year medical student after completing his PhD in Neuroscience in 2020. Casey’s doctoral research focused on uncovering the neural circuits influenced by endocannabinoids and how they regulate anxiety and depressive behaviors in mice. His broader scientific interests center on understanding the biological mechanisms underlying neurological diseases, with the long-term goal of identifying new therapeutic targets to prevent or treat these conditions. He also has extensive experience tutoring students preparing for USMLE Step 1, providing guidance grounded in his deep scientific training. Casey plans to pursue neurology or another neuroscience-related clinical specialty. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing and soccer, and loves spending time with family, friends, and his dog.

Scott am a member of iPHO (Industry Pharmacist Organization) newsletter committee, and was active in the annual VIP (Value Industry Pharmacist) Clinical Case Competition the year prior.

Megan graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.S. in public health, and went on to obtain both a B.S. and M.S. in nursing from Regis College. She is currently a pediatric nurse practitioner at a large academic institution with expertise in immunology, rheumatology, and disorders of immune dysregulation. Megan is also a published clinical researcher and graduate of the nursing science fellowship program at her institution, where she was the recipient of the IDEA grant for nursing scientists. In addition to her roles as a clinician and researcher, Megan enjoys mentoring students and junior clinicians and has experience tutoring for NCLEX and PNCB exams. After a few years, she went back to school and graduated summa cum laude from Emory University with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. She specialized as a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner. She most recently worked as a pediatric neurosurgery nurse practitioner at Children’s’ Healthcare of Atlanta and then relocated back to St. Louis and worked as a pediatric neurosurgery nurse practitioner through Washington University St. Louis at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Kushali is a P4 pharmacy student at Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University. Kushali began the program directly out of high school, where she was in the top 10% of her graduating class. She is on track to receive her PharmD degree. She currently has five years of experience working in the retail pharmacy setting. Kushali has also been involved in a research project led by her preceptor during her introductory pharmacy practice experience. In this endeavor, the PharmD candidate conducted a medication use evaluation by assessing almost 300 patient charts for appropriate antibiotic prescribing practices. At the moment, Kushali has just began her advanced pharmacy practice experience and is working at an ambulatory care clinic. Upon graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in medical writing as a PharmD.
