Refunds for UMock subscriptions are final. Refunds are determined by multiple factors including if the subscription was turned on, how many questions may have been used, or if the subscription is expired. UMock reserves the right to update the refund policy at any time. At the time a refund is requested, eligibility will be determined by the refund policy that was in effect at the time of purchase.

Activating your subscription

When you purchase a UMock subscription, you have the option to activate, or “turn on” the subscription. When you activate or “turn on” the subscription from your account, you can now start using the subscription.

Non-refundable subscriptions

There are certain subscriptions that are non-refundable if you activate or turn it on from your account, even if you do not actually use it. The following subscriptions are NOT eligible for a refund if it has been activated or turned on, even if you have not actually used the subscription:

  • All 45-day subscriptions
  • All Mock Assessment subscriptions
  • All renewal subscriptions
  • USMLE® Step 2 CS
  • USMLE® Step 3 CCS

However, if you have purchased any of these subscriptions but have not activated or turned it on from your account, and the subscription is not expired, then it is eligible for a full refund less a $20.00 processing fee.

Qbank refunds

Qbank subscriptions greater than 45 days may be eligible for a refund if it has been activated or turned on from your account and is not expired. If the Qbank has been activated or turned on from your account and all of the questions have been used, UMock will not issue any refund.

If a Qbank of greater than 45 days has been activated or turned on from your account, and is not expired, you may be entitled to a partial refund. To be eligible for a partial refund you must request a refund within 10 days from the date you activated or turned on the subscription from your account. Your partial refund will then be determined by UMock according to the number of questions you have used.

Refund amount

If you have used 30 questions or less, then UMock will refund you 10% of the total purchase price. If you have used more than 30 questions, then no refund will be issued. Any questions used as part of a free trial do not count toward the number of questions used when UMock is determining refund eligibility. Refunds requested after 10 days from the date you activated or turned on your subscription are not eligible for any refund.

You are eligible for a refund for any subscription that has not been activated or turned on from your account, and is not expired. The refund amount will be given at full purchase price less a $20.00 processing fee.

Any expired subscription is not eligible for a refund even if it was never activated/turned on or used.

Refunds for bundled subscriptions

Refunds for bundled subscriptions are determined by what you have activated or turned on. Bundled subscriptions are subscriptions that contain both a Qbank and a Mock Assessment. If you have not activated or turned on any part of the subscription, and it is not expired, then you may request a refund. UMock will issue a refund in the amount of the total purchase price less a $20.00 processing fee. If you activate or turn on the Mock Assessment from your account, then the entire subscription package is rendered non-refundable. If you do not activate or turn on the Mock Assessment, but you do activate or turn on the Qbank from your account, then the standard refund policy described above applies whereby your eligibility will be determined by the number of questions used.

Other non-refundable situations

Some UMock subscriptions contain a “Reset” option. If you have used the reset option on any Qbank subscription, you are not eligible for any refund.

UMock subscriptions are intended to be used on a desktop computer or laptop. We offer mobile compatibility on certain operating systems and devices as an additional feature. Refunds will not be considered for any subscription due to an ability to use the subscription on either a supported, or unsupported mobile device.

Subscription purchases may not be converted to another subscription on the same user account and may not be transferred to another user.

If you turn on and activate your subscription by mistake, you must notify support@umock.com within 1 hour of activation and request that your account returns to inactive status.

Any subscription that has been turned on by mistake and converted back to inactive status will NOT be considered for any refund.

If you activate the same subscription by mistake a second time, UMock will NOT return your account to inactive status and you will NOT be eligible for any refund.
